aussie open finals!

federer lost to safin in one of the semis. federer LOST! agH was so freaking disappointed.. but it was a really close match. ahah i guess everyone watching in the court that night got their money's worth.. five sets of nerve-wracking, heartbeat-skipping points by both players.. ahhh it was really good.

was really disappointed when federer lost coz i guess i assumed he was gonna have a sure win over safin like he did the last time they played. what i didnt count on was how safin played much better and actually managed to keep his cool.. well more than usual anyway, coz there were still the occasional safin-trademark rages. ahaha.. but the best was how federer was such a good sport about his loss and even admitted that safin played better than him that night. *sigh*

in all, it was a really great match. federer barely lost his nerve even tho there were so many forms of pressure attacking him. sure, there were a few times when he actually let a bit more emotion show compared to usual, but other than that, he's still the cool roger federer. *swoon*. ahah.. he saved so many points and prevented safin from winning the match so many timeeess.. oo and the part where he caught up and kept cool when safin was leading the set 5-2 to win the match. it even got to 5-5! or was it 6-6? well something like that larr.. but ahh.. sweet. now THAT is tennis at its best. =)

as for safin, tho i only thought he was pretty good looking a long time ago and supported him solely for that reason *wink*, i really think he played good tennis in that match. he played much better than the past couple of months and yeah.. i guess he did pretty well so far in this grand slam. i only watched a few of his matches this time, but if he played as well as he played federer the other day, then i think he plays much much MUCH better now..

oo and safin'll be meeting hewitt in the finals tomorrow! hewitt and roddick played the other semi yesterday but i didnt really watch it. heard a lotta ppl say roddick wasnt playing really good, but ah well.. i dont know. i just cant wait to watch the finals tomorrow. i really hope safin wins this time because i dont want hewitt to win! ahaha.. well also coz safin lost his other two aussie open finals and hope he doesnt do the same again.. and coz it's hewitt's home ground and he has SO many supporters.. pretty unfair to safin eh? he's gonna need all the support he can get =)

ahhh mygawd that was one long boring commentary on tennis but i'm so hyped up rite now about the aussie open i really cant wait for tomorrow! ahh.. wait for my good news tomorrow nite aite? ;)
